L'Hospitalet de l'Infant i La Vall de Llors is one of those places yet to be discovered, at least by most of the tourists visiting the Costa Dorada. Just as Miami Playa, it features beaches with fine sand and clear waters, and a pleasant climate that benefits from the proximity of the mountains.
The beaches of l'Hospitalet de l'Infant have all the distinctive Blue Flag, which means high quality of services for bathers, making them ideal for family tourism.
The beach Arenal is the longest of the four beaches that bathe the coast. It has a length of 1800 meters and there we can find the Watersports Centre Costa Dorada, the perfect place for those who want to enjoy a wide variety of water sports. The beach Punta del Riu is also a great place for water sports. This 700-meter beach is located next to the marina of l'Hospitalet de l'Infant.
Its other two beaches, both 1600 meters long each, are the beach l’Almadrava and beach Del Torn. The latter is nudist and is part of a natural area that has a great international reputation.
One of the landmark spots in L' Hospitalet de l'Infant is the place it was named after, the Gothic hospital built in 1346 and located in the centre of the town. During the summer one of the busiest places is the lookout in the Plaza de the Marina. There, besides enjoying great views and spectacular sunsets, you can visit the craft market in the afternoon.
The local festival of l' Hospitalet de l'Infant takes place the week of 16th August. Keep this in mind when booking your holiday. The Costa Dorada is a privileged place for gastronomy and that is another reason to enjoy l'Hospitalet de l' Infant. There tuna gastronomic events are held every year, the Diada de la Tonyina. They take place during the months of April and May, and during that time restaurants offer their best recipes with tuna as the protagonist.
