The beach of Hospitalet de l´infant

Playa del Arenal is the longest of the four beaches that bathe the coast. Also the Punta del Riu beach is a great place to practice water sports. This 700-meter beach is located next to the Puerto Deportivo de l’Hospitalet de l’Infant.

Its other two beaches, both of equal length of 1600 meters, are Playa de l’Almadrava and Playa del Torn. The latter is naturist and is part of a natural area that is internationally renowned.

The Port Aventura amusement park, which is only 28 km away, is one of the Costa Dorada´s biggest attractions for family tourism.

On the Arenal beach is the Costa Dorada Nautical Base, the perfect place for those who want to enjoy a wide variety of water sports.

L´Hospitalet de l´Infant i la Vall de Llors is one of these places to discover, at least for most of the tourism that visits the Costa Dorada. Like Miami Playa, it enjoys fine sand beaches and transparent waters and a pleasant climate that benefits from the proximity of the mountains.

One of the attractions of L’Hospitalet de l’Infant is the place to which it owes its name, the Gothic hospital that was built in 1346 and is located in the heart of the town. During the summer one of the busiest places is the Mirador de la Plaza de la Marina. There, in addition to enjoying great views and spectacular sunsets, you can visit the craft market in the afternoons.

The main festivities of l’Hospitalet de l’Infant take place the week of August 16, take this into account when booking your holidays. The Costa Dorada is a privileged place for gastronomy and that is another reason to enjoy l’Hospitalet de l’Infant. The tuna gastronomic days, the Tonyina Day, are held there every year. They take place during the months of April and May and during those dates the restaurants offer their best recipes with tuna as the protagonist.
